Happy Birthday Croshay Design!

Peter was one of my first customers at the Pike Place Market, Seattle, WA January 2002.
This was the first hat he bought (well actually it was a trade, which I think is good luck), but then he came back and bought a few more. It's my Homestyle Cap.
The folks down at the market called me "homestyle" I think because it seemed so unlikely that I had these domestic tendencies.
and my P-Cap style beanie hat is named for Peter!

say, for example, you were a professional photographer and you set up and then published a shot you were quite proud of. if later you discovered that someone else had taken a picture that was obviously a copy of yours, the subject and the composition were almost identical, and you knew for a fact that they had an interest in your work, and that perhaps they were also interested in becoming a professional photographer themselves as they were offering their photo for sale or were trying to license the image.

I know, I know, hideous. Denver Broncos colors... but believe me, I have my very good reasons for dressing this boy in "safety orange" heh.
Leo did some of the crocheting (on the blue part) and made the pompom for his hat himself!

Finding motivation to make the changes I've been talking about recently has been a challege for me. I just read this article about overcoming writers block and Im going to add a few new rules to my work routine to see if it helps get the flow back.

I like the idea of using rituals and rules to overcome the need to produce a perfect finished product from beginning to end the very first time you try,,, that can be a lot of pressure and for me leads to procrastination.
Here are some suggestions from the article that I thought were worth giving a shot:

They sold three hats at Althea's, the cafe downtown where I left some stock on consignment Wednesday, which is great BUT,,, they have no "system" for keeping track of the sales and more than being afraid of not getting paid for the stuff that sells I worry about it just walking out the door.
